Hi everyone! The other day I was walking down the street and came across a little free library.  Over the past several years I have enjoyed seeing more and more of these pop up in neighborhoods all over the place. I think it is a wonderful concept and has been a lifeline to reading for both those who are young and young at heart.  I have always loved the idea and have wanted to support them as they are loved by the community.

As a benefits company, GiveMore is always looking for ways to give back and help others do so as well. We recently started the Donation Funded Free Stickers Program to help distribute stickers at cost for topics that matter.  The program has been tremendously successfull at introducing GiveMore to new potential donors every day. We felt we could do better though and wanted to take things a step further by offering more ways  visistors can make a difference.

With that in mind, we have started this fundraiser to help fund progressive books for little free libraries!

As a starting point, funds raised will go towards ordering books from Good Reads list of 2019 Books by Authors of Color. Additional books may include those on topics related to Environmental Justice, the MeToo movement, LGBTQ+, and other progressive topics.

This campaign is all about creating access and elevating voices.

The number of books we can give out will depend on what we raise and we will report back here periodically on how the program is doing.

Funds will go towards the books and an attribution sticker inviting readers to donate to this program. A small portion of donations may also go towards delivering books to their destination. 

Our initial goal is $100 - we have to start somewhere. This will let us work out the program details and pick out an initial group of libraries to support.  Afterwards the goal will be increased and more libraries will be added to the distribution route.

We are based in Oregon, so will be focusing on little free libraries in the valley and along the coast here in Oregon, expanding to Washington and California as travel permits.  I would love to extend where books are delivered but will need helpers in other locations.  If you would like to help with distribution or have a tiny free library, email me books@givemore.co
